Take a seat

Evening, I saw these cute little stools the other day and thought I would share it with you guys.

Cool as a display stool in an alcove or as bedside tables with oddity lamps on them or even ceiling lamps hung over them.

My 2013 colour trends for interiors

Hello, these are some of my colour trend predictions for 2013, I'm sure we will all see them poping up all over the place but in particular our interiors.

Midnight blue  - this colour will be huge this year. We saw allot towards the end of 2012 in interiors magazines etc and we will be seeing allot more of it this year. It adds depth and luxury to a room and works especially well when converting to the 'dark side' Abigil Ahern style.
It can then be the base colour to your room then add tonal colours or preferably introduce  powerful and stunning contrasting colours to achieve a wow room. Some contracting colour suggestions can be seen below...

Saffron - this is a very bold and brave colour to use however definitely worth it when the results are anything like the above, it looks stunning. However, if your not confident enough to use on walls or large surface areas in a room it also looks amazing when used as an accent colour i.e. vases, occasional chair or/ cushions. I love it when its put together with either midnight blue or charcoal or raspberry as above.

Raspberry - this is a fabulous colour in my option (and actually have a sofa in a shade of it), some may say it might be a bit too feminine however it depends on the shade you choose and how you use it. Mixing it with a charcoal or graphite grey will make it feel more masculine.

Charcoal & Graphite - These have always been a top favourite of mine anyway but they seem to be making it big this year, perhaps we are all meant to convert to the 'dark side' some how in our home lives....... or perhaps it's the 'fifty shades of grey' influence!? Who knows but use these colours as your base, and I mean it should be wall and ceiling, with dark floors if you can. This the key to sumptuous, warm and interesting spaces. Then introduce splashes of amazing colour.

Periwinkle - I have to admit its not been a very popular colour in the past but I really do think this will be one of the cool colours of 2013, it's fresh and feminine and works well with tonal greys and whites (if your not down with covering to the dark side...yet). Watch this space....

Sapphire - Another colour that I'm very fond of but more in a fashion sense so would love to do more with it in interiros. Will get my thinking cap on for this and let you know....

Linen- it is said that this will be a popular colour for 2013 however in my opinion it is always popular colour/material to use so I'm not really going to add this but thought it was worth mentioning.

Why not make your one of your New Years resolution be, to use at least one of these colours in one of your rooms this year, I promise it will make you happy and also you'll be bang on trend!

My New Years resolution is for us to find a house so I can do all my rooms!!

Happy Sunday night xxx
